In the new year, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education is preparing to release a new notification for the post of primary assistant teachers. About 7,000 vacant posts of assistant teachers will be appointed. Farid Ahmed, the secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, confirmed this information on Sunday (February 5).
Farid Ahmed said, since there are vacant posts in government primary schools, preparations are being made to publish another recruitment circular. We hope that it will be possible to publish the new notification in the month of February. About 7 thousand assistant teachers will be appointed through the new notification.
In the month of January, the largest recruitment circular was completed in the primary. Through that recruitment circular, 37 thousand 574 people were finally selected for the post of assistant teachers after three stages of written and oral examination. However, among the candidates selected for the recruitment, several candidates did not join the post of assistant teachers at the last moment, according to the sources of the Directorate of Primary Education.
The Department of Primary Education published a notification for the recruitment of 32 thousand 577 vacancies for the post of Primary Assistant Teacher in October 2020. The application fee was Tk 110. A total of 13 lakh 9 thousand 461 candidates applied.
